As a consequence of a relatively cultural thaw, the Opera ballet made a famous tour in Paris in 1965 with the work “The hammer without master” by Pierre Boulez, with the daring choreography of Stere Popescu. From that moment on, more and more ballet dancers chose to go on with their career abroad. Over the decades, most of them have still been working as ballet masters in Canada (Magdalena Popa, Amatto Checiulescu, Sergiu Stefanski), Italy (Gheorghe Iancu, Marinel Stefanescu , Stefan Banica, George Bodnarciuc), USA (Marin Boeru, Pavel Rotaru), Sweden (Aurora Rotaru), Germany (Cristina Hamel, Rodica Simion , Luminita Dumitrescu), Spain (Gelu Barbu) orchoreographers (Gigi Caciuleanu, France).
